Ectos gone from the game? - Page 2 - Guild Wars Forums

Did a 3 person UW run last night and we got 3 ectos between us.

where do you find phantasmal armor?

ectos drop more to the East in the underworld. Meaning you have to actually be strong enough and have a good enough party to survive more then 3 minutes in the underworld. Clear an area BEFORE talking to a spirit for rewards or quests. Then ONLY after the area is completely clear talk to them. You will Last lots longer that way. the Underworld is big. but the fissure of woe is much bigger. I get better weapon drops in there, but for materials underworld is best. I think the reason the ectoplasm vanished from teh trader is cause people were abusing it and driving the price so high it was not practical to keep at a trader. the people responsible for this are the ones that hoarded all the ectoplasm and have been selling then for 30k a piece. which was ridiculous. I would expect they are going to more that ability to buy ecto and shards into the underworld or fissure areas from a trader NPC down there. that way its not as easy to drive the price up and hoard the materials.
